Ultraviolet ( abbreviated UV, also called ultraviolet radiation, black light or UV light called ) is electromagnetic light radiation. It is just outside the part of the light spectrum that is visible to the human eye. The wavelength of ultraviolet radiation is between 10 and 400 nanometers, so ‘ past the violet ’, which is also the literal meaning of ‘ ultraviolet ’. Ultraviolet light is divided between UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The lower the wave of the UV beam, the more energy it contains and the more destructive it is.
UVC is between 180 and 280 nanometers, so it is already quite destructive.
UVC has a powerful one germicidal radiation. This radiation kills the DNA of bacteria, viruses, parasites and other germs. These UVC rays penetrate the cells into the nucleus of the DNA. It also destroys all living organisms. Finally, tap water has been made drinkable by using UVC .
The same fate therefore undergoes the unicellular algae, the cell structure of which is dissolved by UVC radiation. However, it should be noted that green water is NOT equivalent to poor water quality. Green water is caused by plankton ( including unicellular algae ) and phytoplankton. Phytoplankton is at the basis of the food chain in the aquatic environment. It is primarily the stack food for fish larvae and others aquatic organisms. Any disadvantage, the water becomes green and opaque, so that we can no longer take advantage of the optical beauty of our Koi.
